Swarthmore Home

Completed close to a decade ago, but remains timeless: this project reflects a thoughtful balance between tradition and ease. The formal living room—defined by classic Wilton carpeting and tailored drapery—contrasts with a more relaxed sunroom designed for everyday living and quiet retreat. While other rooms maintain a traditional sensibility, this space introduces a lighter, more informal expression. A layered mix of textures and materials defines the room, anchored by a custom wet bar in plain-cut mahogany. A hydraulic mechanism allow a television to be seamlessly concealed. Natural materials—including grasscloth wall coverings and woven window shades—soften the space and subtly connect the interior to the surrounding landscape. Bronze accents are introduced sparingly, adding depth and contrast, and completing a room that feels both elegant and comfortably modern.
